Ziggy's Store Manager Expectations: * Provide service with integrity, respect, empathy, and confidentiality to youth, families, donors, and staff * Maintain a safe and structured environment * Clearly, accurately and compassionately communicate with internal and external customers * Lead team by example through a strong work ethic and providing excellent customer service * Foster and encourage a positive, safe, friendly, welcoming environment for employees and customers at Ziggy’s; ensure high levels of customers’ satisfaction through excellent service Education & Experience Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant work experience Ziggy’s Responsibilities: * Provide training and one-on-one support to youth employees * Maintain/adjust staffing levels appropriate to support customer needs, with an awareness of seasonal changes in customers and fiscal implications to overall store budget * Manage employment process including hiring, termination, scheduling, pay rates and training; coordinate with human resources throughout process * Responsible for ongoing staff engagement and fostering a respectful work environment with open communication amongst the team.
* Manage store inventory to ensure appropriate levels are onhand.
Be aware of fluctuations in need and adjust ordering accordingly.
Plan/order appropriately for upcoming events and anticipated shifts in business levels.
* Implement daily, weekly, monthly, annual operating and cleaning checklists as appropriate; ensure that expectations are met by deadline; modify checklists and procedures as necessary * Establish and/or maintain protocols and standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
Ensure food safety protocols and procedures are followed consistently and that all employees are provided the necessary tools and training to further this initiative * Handle and document issues and concerns expressed by staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.
) in a timely and respectful manner * Oversee day-to-day store operations, finances, facility and staff * Manage overarching cash handling procedure for the store; ensure cash drawer(s) are reconciled, bank deposits are timely, petty cash is maintained * Keep meticulous records including (but not limited to) inventory, employee work hours, product margins, etc.
; turn in records/paperwork at the DreamTree administrative office as necessary * Act as liaison between Ziggy’s and Executive Director at DreamTree; communicate pertinent and/or important information in a timely manner * Manage vendor relationships and order cycles to ensure store needs are met * Research and inform on product pricing, including (but not limited to) margins and mark-ups, customer discounts, special events, etc.
; analyze cost and profit margins, use information to guide both short- and long-term decision-making.
* Evaluate ways to make the entity more profitable as well as building on the reputational strength of DreamTree Project/Ziggy’s * Conduct biennial assessment to support preparation and revision of annual budget for Ziggy’s * Coordinate marketing efforts with outreach specialist and graphics/marketing consultant, including website and social media * Prepare and lead Ziggy’s team meetings as necessary * Act as Ziggy’s contact person for external communications (as authorized by DreamTree Executive Director) with vendors, regulatory and oversight agencies, etc.
* Participate in DreamTree staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with appropriate personnel as necessary * Maintain a clean driving record based on DreamTree Project requirements * Other duties as assigned and as the position requires *Additional Compensation:* * $100 = 30 Days after start date * $100 = 60 Days after start date Job Type: Full-time Pay: $46,000.
