*Director Quality*
Responsible for planning, administration, and monitoring of consistent readiness of all quality management, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement processes; oversees and coordinates all hospital efforts to monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory, State, Federal government, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization standards; directs AVRH’s Performance Improvement Program, Quality, Safety, and Medical Staff Affairs, Education, Core Measures, Infection Control and Employee Health, assures quality patient care.
*Risk Management*
In coordination with corporate risk management, assists in protecting the organization by: a) identification of loss exposures; b) selection of appropriate mechanism(s) to reduce, or if possible, eliminate the possibility of loss; c) implementation of the chosen technique(s); and d) monitoring and review of the results.
Manages claims against the facility, interfacing with legal counsel and administers the risk management program including educational programs and complying with Joint Commission Standards and OSHA requirements.
Also, contributes to the fulfillment of the organization’s mission and philosophy by assisting in the implementation of the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement program.
* *Bachelor of Science of Nursing; Masters preferred.

* *Five years management experience in an acute care or closely related facility and three years’ experience in quality management.

* *Current New Mexico Registered Nurse License.
*
* *Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or Certificate in Health Services Management preferred.
