SUMMARY:
Responsible for implementing and ensuring all EVS operations on assigned shift are in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures and high standard levels.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
The Supervisor for Environmental Services is responsible for maintaining the assigned locations and areas, in a clean, safe, orderly, and attractive condition through delegation to and supervision of environmental service associates.
Policies and Procedures are adhered to in the EVS Section on assigned shifts, coach for improvement, review performance and assess competency to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, OSHA Safety rules.
Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Responsible for training employees in the proper techniques of using chemicals.
Ensures sure all applicable cleaning supplies are labeled properly and ensures chemical bottles have proper chemical labels.
Keep all areas clean & sanitized as directed.
Responsible for the supervision and coordination of EVS staff activities throughout the corporation ensuring approved standards of cleanliness are displayed.
Make recommendations and suggestions to hire, promote, evaluate, reward, and discipline of all EVS employees.
Assists in the selecting, training, scheduling, and evaluating of staff.
Responsible for advising management of repairs and replacements necessary in assigned areas and is accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms, and offices.
Interacts with guests and other departments in a professional and courteous manner.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record and attendance of all mandatory training and/or meetings.
Responds quickly to issues, concerns, or requests and resolves them in a timely manner.
Conducts inspections in designated areas and logs all results, including EVS services and equipment and takes corrective actions.
Assumes responsibility for completion of department quality improvement activities, addressing guest concerns, and coordinating staff education.
Conduct pre-shift meetings as directed.
May need to work other shifts if needed.
Ensures that inventory is completed monthly and that stations are stocked with proper supply amounts.
Other duties as assigned by EVS director.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work as part of a team in an atmosphere that can be both fast paced high pressure.
Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate fluently in English.
Must be able to operate, use, and train associates on the equipment used by the department to maintain the facility.
