*Description: *TBS Preschool offers parents a high-quality choice in early childhood education that prepares each child to transition into kindergarten.

The TBS Preschool Director sets the vision and the tone for our children, families, and teachers.
Our ideal candidate is a master educator who can provide support and training on child-centered pedagogy and curriculum for teachers and who engages well with families.
Candidates must be self starters, able to manage groups of people including volunteers and can work collaboratively within the structure of a TBS Leadership and board-governed nonprofit organization.
*Primary Responsibility Summary* *Staff/Teachers:* * Hire, conduct clearances, onboard, and ongoing training for new teachers and staff.
* Supervise, manage, and evaluate contractors, staff and teachers.
* Organize and plan professional development and trainings.
* School planning, scheduling, substitutes and classroom coverage, ensure compliance.
*Program:* * Observation and oversight of classroom activities and programs.
* Ensure full compliance with ECECD 5-star focus licensing and NM PreK.
* Support and guide teachers in development and implementation of curriculum and other programming.

* Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
*Families:* * Set vision and a welcoming and warm tone for families.
* Clear, timely, regular, and responsive communication with parents.
* Manage enrollment, outreach to potential new families and maintenance of waitlist.
* Provide multiple opportunities for family engagement.
*Administration:* * Oversight of all aspects of Preschool.
* Manage Preschool administrative staff and ensure compliance with all licensing and ECECD requirements and regulatory compliance.
* Develop, communicate, and implement policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and/or promote safe, healthy, and efficient operations.
*Finance:* * Explore and apply for applicable grants or tuition reduction programs.
* Manage and prepare budgets and respond to needs of finance committee * Manage and track all financial transactions.
