What You Will Do The Operations Manager will be reporting to the Institutional Facilities Division (IF-DO) Facility Operations organization and will be responsible for providing operational support to the division.
The IF-DO is one of six Facility Operations Directorates (FOD), responsible for providing operational leadership and support in the areas of Facility Maintenance, Operations, Environment Safety & Health, Engineering, and Waste Services.
It is the responsibility of the FOD to ensure facilities are operated and maintained in a safe, secure, and fully functional manner for mission execution.
IF-FOD is responsible for managing over 800 buildings, which includes: office space, warehouse, data center, leased space, and historical buildings portfolio.
The IF-DO is seeking an Operations Manager that is highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong problem-solving, communication, and team-building skills.
The Operations Manager 3 position provides leadership, technical direction, and oversight of data center facility operations.
The Operations Manager 3 responsibilities include directing daily operations, ensures facilities are maintained in a safe/secure manner, process improvement, providing budgetary oversight, and coordinating facility activities.
The Operations Manager will also provide day-to-day management of resources, e.

Operators, Building Managers, Operations Specialist as well as deployed resources (ESH&Q, Engineering, Maintenance), to support facility operations and provide the necessary oversight and leadership to execute routine and non-routine activities within the IF-FOD data center facilities portfolio.
What You Need Minimum Job Requirements: Demonstrated management/leadership skills to oversee a wide range of management functions, including execution of deliverables, resource planning and coordination, forecasting, work package execution and reporting.
Working knowledge and understanding of conduct of operations, conduct of engineering, conduct of maintenance, conduct of training, and quality assurance programs.
Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience providing oversight over the execution of facility equipment surveillances and maintenance activities.
Experience and understanding of occurrence reporting for abnormal events; to include running fact findings, reviewing root cause analysis, and participation in lessons learned reviews and meetings.
Demonstrated experience in developing and fostering successful cross-organization teams to solve complex problems.
Experience authorizing, programmatic, maintenance and construction activities based on facility status.
Experience managing and coordinating the proper response to abnormal conditions.
Demonstrated experience in management, supervision, and the professional development of assigned employees.
Provide oversight on FOD activities to help ensure that work is being executed safely, securely and compliantly.
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of Laboratory's organizational structure, and governing and implementing policies, procedures, and instructions.
Experience with data center facility management.
Working knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and managing innovative process improvement inititives.
Ability to assist with development of IWDs, and other technical documents to support facility, programmatic and project work.
Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
In-depth knowledge of the Laboratory's organizational structure and objectives.
Ability to obtain a Q Clearance.

All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level).
Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter.
This position requires a Q clearance.
and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances.
Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens.
Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.
S.
citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances.

New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law.
A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
If an employee has not served the required period of continuous service, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader.

Incentive Compensation Program: Position is eligible to participate in the Triad Incentive Compensation Program.
You must be in an eligible position for a minimum of 3 months, before July 1st and remain in an eligible position as of the end of the fiscal year, September 30th.
The annual distribution is prorated based on the number of months in the eligible position.
