The Director of Program Services maintains high quality programs in accordance with the mission statement, state and national office standards, and policies of Community Options, Inc.
: residential homes, personalized supports supported employment and person-centered planning.
This individual must be able to handle the pressure of training in a public environment, exercise patience, work with flexible schedules, and respond to crisis situations.
Ingenuity and creativity must be utilized when determining the best training methods, assistance, and support for an individual.
The salary is $75,000 annually.
Job Responsibilities:
Make recommendations to the Program Director for the development of current and future programs.
Present problems and recommend any necessary changes in current policy and procedures to the Program Director.
Assist the Program Director with employment related issues, including the preparation of the necessary paperwork and documentation.
Complete staff evaluation
Monitor and maintain residential budget.
Monitor and schedule required staff training's, seminars, conferences
Monitor fiscal, medical, personal and Individual Support plan (ISP) documentation to ensure accuracy.
Monitor and schedule house and vehicle maintenance
Assist in maintaining and monitoring of individuals finances.
Monitor and report health and medical needs of individuals
Build a support network between the individuals and community members
Prepare progress reports for consumers immediate support group, including their family and/or guardian, staff employment specialist, case manager and other professionals
Ensure consistent service delivery that connects work, home, and recreational needs
Serve as active member of each person's linter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Support plan development
Submit monthly written reports to the appropriate individuals outlining operational status, progress and concerns.
May perform duties of Community Support Staff as necessary, in accordance with current staffing needs.
Attend conferences, seminars, and training as necessary.
Employees must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Knowledge/Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree plus one year experience related field; Or
High school diploma with 3 years experience in related field, in lieu of degree
State trainings as required

Working Conditions:
Frequent local travel is required in addition to occasional transportation of people with disabilities.
While performing the duties of the job, employee travels by automobile, and is exposed to changing weather conditions
May transport participants in own vehicle
Frequent lifting, stretching and other physical exertion during the positioning of consumer's or equipment
May occasionally assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory participants
May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases
Work will take place in the administrative office, community and in the homes
Hours and weekly schedule dictated by current tasks, to include evening and weekend hours as required.
On call 24 hours a day, in cooperation with other management staff
