When you join the team as the Field Reimbursement Access Manager, you will be directly influencing patient access by being the expert and field base support in the healthcare offices across the country.
You will be acting as the extension of the manufacture team to assist in resolving complex reimbursement issues that may create barriers and access for patients.
A typical day in this role will include ownership of your patients cases from initiation to dispense to include; in person or video practice education on the benefit investigation or prior authorizations / denial appeals process, determining financial qualifications for assistance programs and assisting patients or other callers/stakeholders through resolution (via email, inbound/outbound calls and using our patented technology, CORscend) by using your critical thinking skills and your knowledge of the program and industry rules and standards.
This role requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail and patient focus and will put your problem-solving skills to the test.
This role is responsible for educating healthcare professionals about important product reimbursement information and processes as well as helping providers understand other services that may be available to help appropriate patients access specialty buy-and-bill products.
ONC FRMs are responsible for educating providers on key payer policies and work to communicate the impact of these policies on providers and appropriate patients back to the Payer Account Teams.
This role reports to a Field Reimbursement Director.
Qualified candidates must possess a demonstrated track record of success working in a matrix environment and must demonstrate effective leadership of non-direct reports.
Specialty FRMs routinely interface with Payer Account Directors, Patient Services Case Managers and Specialty Sales professional teams.
This job might be for you if (must have requirements of the role): Basic qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Ability to travel up to 30% including overnights Must be located within 50 miles of a major airport in or near the territory Valid driver's license Minimum of 2 years' experience in Industry Field Reimbursement role or for reimbursement support services company Preferred qualifications: Experience as a field reimbursement manager in the Oncology Space strongly preferred Basic knowledge of the payer environment including state, federal, private third-party reimbursement issues, methodologies and policies for physician administered products Strong customer focus with building relationships, issue identification and resolution, problem-solving and project management skills Ability to operate independently and handle multiple projects with a high degree of initiative and operate successfully in matrix environment reporting into reimbursement function while deployed in the field Highly organized, strategic thinker with excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills Reimbursement experience for oncology or specialty injected/infused products in a buy and bill setting across all sites of care Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, D and knowledge of commercial insurance reimbursement Understanding billing and coding and possible issues surrounding appropriate billing Experience working with reimbursement call centers in support of patient access Ability to speak Spanish fluently is a plus Physical Demands & Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
This is a travel-based position, the ability to sit, drive for fly for extended periods of time is necessary.
This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
Due to investment in program specific training, candidates are expected to maintain role for a minimum of 1 year within a client-facing role, prior to being considered eligible for lateral or promotion level move.
