Overview:
As a professional Patient Access team player, the Registrar, you'll provide administrative, transactional and technical support services to internal and external customers.
You will register patients - create accounts in the Hospital Information System; validate and verify the demographic information; and, ensure patients' medical records' numbers are not duplicated to ensure patient safety.

001 Exempt: No Work Schedule: Varied Days and Hours Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Less than 1 year experience in clerical office setting or in healthcare setting.
1 year customer service experience.
Basic computer keyboard experience and ten key.
Responsibilities: Serves as information center, answers telephones, relays messages and screens visitors.
Registers patients to ensure proper documentation, to include obtaining complete demographic and billing data to comply with billing and regulatory agency requirements, insurance verification and designated scope.
Advises patients and their families of co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurances at time of service.
Checks online payors for eligibility on self pay patients.
Receive payments from patients and issues receipts, reconciles daily cash and verifies cash balances, posts and prepares receipts for deposit.
Obtains signatures on all required documents.
