Description:
The IT Technician is s responsible for the installation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of a variety of IT equipment, networks and services.
Duties include configuring hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers or switches, cameras, repairing or troubleshooting equipment, and providing daily support for computer network users.
This position will serve both resorts: Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort and Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa requiring an ability to travel by car between them.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Provides technical assistance to end users, including help with passwords and network connections, hardware and software.
2.
Performs hardware and software maintenance/upgrades on workstations.
3.
Troubleshoots and monitors network.
4.
Maintains an up-to-date inventory of equipment.
5.
Manages network/service user accounts in a Windows environment (to include some Macs).
6.
Supports IT Manager and IT team with projects, as needed.
7.
Helps users with regard to computer hardware, software, and other IT equipment, programs and services.
8.
Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals, and accounts as directed and following established protocols.
9.
Installs and shows users how to properly employ a variety of hardware, software, and other IT systems and services.
10.
Provides troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for IT systems and with testing computers and peripherals on a network to diagnose hardware versus software problems; escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.
11.
Maintains systems and databases and administers user accounts.
12.
Inventories and maintains adequate stock of computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories.
13.
Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationships with staff and management.
Requirements:
Minimum five (2) years’ experience in Information Technology support.
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Technical knowledge of Network concepts/LAN, TCP/IP protocols, configure & setup routers and switches, current Windows operating systems, PC hardware (desktops and laptops), printers, Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Servers, and Virtual environments is required.
Professional certification from CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCSA, MTA or CCNA is desired.
IT experience with Hospitality, Agilysys PMS, IP Cameras, VOIP and SQL knowledge a plus.
Gracious communicator with strong verbal communication skills.
Critical-thinker; problem-solver.
Meticulous attention to details.
Must be punctual, adhere to a daily schedule, and work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
The position requires the ability to walk, stand, and move both indoors and outside on uneven terrain for extended periods of time.
Also requires the ability to lift equipment and materials (weighing up to 40 lbs.
), bend, kneel, reach, stoop, and climb.
The ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures is essential.
